This variety of lettuce grows with a large head and has robust, lengthened leaves with a strong central rib.

It is an annual and self-pollinating plant. Romaine lettuces do not form a true bud; the leaves are oblong with full edges and a wide central rib.

For many, this is one of the favourite lettuces worldwide, it seems to be the most famous.
